MP3 Demos
Welcome to my AUDIO demo page. You can click on the pictures to get a larger view, or listen to some short audio files for each device.
For Creamware board owners, there are working demos of most synths available. They have a periodic 'beep' tone, or fade in and out, and are limited to 2 voice polyphony. All require v3.1c of the Luna or Pulsar software to run. To request any of these demos, please send me an email at: johnbowen@bigplanet.com
A number of lengthy sound files for the Quantum Wave are now posted. Here are the links to access:
a sample of presets by Kuchar, Bowen, and Wavelength (5.28MB)
a sample of presets by Carl Lofgren (15.69MB)
a sample of presets by Benoist Guitton (18.27MB)
All files below were done in real-time, using a single synth device.
All music excerpts composed and played by John Bowen except Guitton, Lofgren, and Kuchar file examples, with copyright by Zarg Music, 2005.
Click on the Rotor Jr. picture to see the Mixer/Filter/Envs page:
Here are 2 'pad sounds' - examples of what the Rotor Jr. can do:
Rotor Jr. Demo#1 (703 KB)
Rotor Jr. Demo#2 (846 KB)
Here's an example with children in mind (that, or the sound from one of the musical instruments played in Jabba's palace!):
icecream theme (291KB). It's short and sweet!
Two MP3 examples showing stereo auto-pan and the rotor used as an "arpeggiator".
Ambient Demo#5 (735 KB)
Here's the updated Dark Star...a subtractive synth powerhouse, with every type of filter available. Click on the picture to see a larger screen shot.
Dark Star Voice1 (864 KB)
This is using the EXT audio input with a microphone, and doing some real-time audio processing of speech.
Dark Star 'Thing B' (513 KB)
This is using the Thing B sample from the Pulsar demo folder, and features the filter outputs in Parallel mode.
Dark Star - Wav file processing ex. (1 MB)
This was loaded from one of the drum loops in the Pulsar Demo folder - again, filter processing of a WAV file, using the Filter Bank, LowPass, and Comb (and routing the Envelope Follower to track the WAV file, to sweep the Comb).
